Bob Saget will be buried at a private funeral

Deputies from Orange County, Florida were called Jan. 9 to an “unresponsive man” in a Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Orlando and found Saget dead, a statement said. from the sheriff on Twitter. Detectives found “no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”

Saget was in Florida as part of his “I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour”. After warm receptions from the public at his concerts last Friday in Orlando and last Saturday in the resort town of Ponte Vedra Beach, he celebrated online.

“I’m back in acting like when I was 26. I guess I’m finding my new voice and enjoying every moment of it,” he posted on Instagram on Saturday.

“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today,” the Saget family said in a statement on Sunday. “He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter.

“Although we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter Bob brought to the world.”

“When the time is right and this news isn’t so raw, I look forward to sharing more of Bob with the world. To share how much he meant to me, everyone around him, and how much all of his fans and friends meant to him too,” the statement continued. “Thank you for respecting my privacy at this time.”

Saget and Rizzo tied the knot in 2018 in a ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif. He is also survived by three adult daughters Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer with his first wife Sherri Kramer before divorcing in 1997.

Other comedians and friends praised Saget not only for his wit, but also for his kindness.

“I’m broken. I’m gutted. I’m in shock. I’ll never have another friend like him,” wrote John Stamos, who co-starred with Saget in “Full House.” “I love you so much Bobby.”

“I have no words. Bob was one of the best human beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much,” said Candace Cameron Bure, who played Saget’s daughter in “Full House”.

“In an often ruthless company, he was historically not only hilarious, but more importantly one of the kindest human beings I’ve ever met in my career,” actor Richard Lewis wrote on Twitter.

“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us, but please know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us with such grace. that he always has,” Olsens said in a joint statement.

BOB SAGET DEAD AT 65

Saget the stand-up showed his backside with what became a much-talked-about cameo in 2005 documentary ‘The Aristocrats’ – in which 100 comics riffed off the world’s dirtiest joke – which revealed his notoriously dirty sense of humor.

The steamy comedy was not part of his long-running network television shows. He hosted “America’s Funniest Home Videos” family videos and played the widower and father of three young daughters on “Full House,” the ABC sitcom that also brought Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley to fame during his debut in 1987. .

Saget was born in Philadelphia on May 17, 1956, to Benjamin, a supermarket executive, and Rosalyn, who worked in hospital administration. He graduated from Temple University and briefly enrolled at the University of Southern California to study film.

He dropped out of college but stayed in Los Angeles and turned to stand-up comedy, which led to small television and film roles before finding success with “Full House.” He also appeared in some episodes of the 2016-20 sitcom’s “Fuller House” sequel and was heard as a narrator on “How I Met Your Mother,” which ran for nine seasons on CBS.

In early 2020, Saget was preparing the start of his comedy tour when the pandemic put it on hold. He turned his energies to a podcast, “Bob Saget’s Here For You,” which gave fans an open mic to comment and ask questions.
