Brad Pitt to reopen famous French recording studio for Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”

Brad Pitt may soon find himself hosting jam sessions after completing the next phase of renovating the lavish $ 164 million French estate he previously owned with Angelina Jolie.

The actor of “Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood”, 57 years old, is about to reopen the Miraval studios, a historic recording space created by the French jazzman Jacques Loussier in 1977, but remained unused on the 1 000 acres of Château Miraval since the early 2000s.

Pitt and Jolie tied the knot at the posh abode in 2014 in a super-secret ceremony that only their six children attended.

For the revitalization effort, Pitt teamed up with French music producer Damien Quintard, who took to Instagram to share his excitement about tackling the “rebirth” project with Pitt.

Brad Pitt had previously filed a lawsuit alleging that Angelina Jolie was trying to sell her stake in their Chateau Miraval estate without giving her the first option to buy it. The actress sold the shares to wine group Tenute del Mondo, a faction of the Stoli Group, which also owns Masseto and Ornellaia. The price was not disclosed.

Quintard told Pitchfork when he and Pitt met in Paris, “we clicked immediately.”

“It was an intense moment where we just talked and talked about the sound,” he added of the moment. “I was amazed at how sensitive and precise he was in his analysis of music.”

The studio will keep its name and is expected to reopen in the summer of 2022.

He said in a statement shared on Instagram on Monday that he was “looking forward” to starting “this moving journey ahead”.

“Located in the south of France, in the ‘Chateau Miraval’, we are redesigning one of the most iconic recording studios of all time,” Miraval Studios said in the memo. “The timelessness of the songs recorded there by Pink Floyd, The Cranberries, AC / DC among many others, will soon be returning to artists these days.”

News of the French recording studio’s renovation came just hours before it was announced Tuesday that Sony would be pushing Pitt’s “Bullet Train” film back three months to July 15, 2022.

It was originally scheduled to open on April 8.
