Democrats launch public campaign to pass voting rights

The DNC announced in a statement provided to PoliticusUSA:

Ahead of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to Atlanta, Georgia today, the Democratic National Committee unveils a new billboard urging the United States Senate to pass voting rights legislation. The notice board is located at the connection point for I-285 and I-85 South near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

During their visit today, the president and vice president are expected to comment on the urgent need to pass legislation to protect Americans’ suffrage and the integrity of our elections.

President Biden’s speech will launch pressure campaign to adopt voting rights

Democrats are doing everything they can to vote the voting rights. The speeches by President Biden and Vice President Harris should be seen as the start of an effort to increase public pressure on those dragging their feet for the right to vote.

The effort is aimed as much at Manchin and Sinema as at Republicans in the Senate.

Everyone knows Republicans will not support the right to vote. The Senate 50 Democrats support the Right to Vote Act and John Lewis’ Voting Rights Act. It’s just a matter of completing the process to send the invoices to Biden’s office.

Now is the time to make it happen, and every American Democrat needs to talk about the franchise in their community until these bills are passed.
