Rep. Gallego said on CNN when asked if he could run against her in 2024, “2024 is a long way off. I’m focusing on 2022. I never say no in the future, and I also think that right now you hear from many Arizonans who are very unhappy that it blocks the right to vote legislation. So I’ll, you know, keep my ears open. I will condition to have my public meeting, something should try to do from time to time and then i will make a decision after 2022.”
Gallego also said that Sinema is inconsistent in his positions, “Well listen, I knew Senator Sinema since we were both in their mid-twenties and onwards in politics here in Arizona. The only consistency about him roles and positions is inconsistency. So I don’t have to – for her. She must – because once again the Arizona voters, and I hope she will come and take the time to talk to them so she can hear what they think.
Rep. Gallego also said Senator Sinema has not held a town hall in Arizona in three and a half years.
Senator Sinema thinks she’s the reincarnation of John McCain, but judging by Rep. Gallego’s comments, she could be facing a serious primary challenge in 2024.
Sinema betrayed the Democrats. She is one of the most unpopular members of the party, as her act of cynical maverick risks leaving with no base of support and potentially jobless after the 2024 election.
